Audiophysix technology
Each sound algorithm is a result of a long time experience in sound design and software development. Every single sound module needs a different agorithm and is developed with a very high requirement on authenticity and quality. Therefore development is complex and challenging to achieve this goal for every different type of sound.
Currently the algorithms are developed with the software Max/MSP from Cycling ´74, which allows fast and effiicient testing on the fly. As soon as a group of algorithms is finished, plugins will become available as RTAS™ for ProTools™, as Audio Unit™ for Logic Pro and as VST™ for Cubase™. A standalone version will allow sound creation without a host and export as audiofile.
The algorithms are currently in development with no exact date for release yet. Updates will be posed on this website.
For the sound designer
Sound designers working with audio applications like ProTools, Logic, Soundtrack, Wavelab, or other hosts that are able to use audio plugins, will be able to use the audiophysix plugin with their favourite host. The plugins will generate sound in realtime with intuitive parameters to change the sound on the fly. While working with picture, the sound can be adjusted easily with the plugin parameter to fit the picture or change in time. The need for searching sound files from a library with hundreds or thousands of sounds will become absolete. The plugins will be able to generate sound with unlimited length and in multichannel surround.
For the game developer
The advantages for video games are memory savings and realtime sound generation. Including the algorithms in games will not only reduce the size of games, which is especially important for mobile games, but also enhances the gaming experience. Because audiophysix sounds are generated in realtime, the sounds can change any time, thus being interactive and dynamic. This way the sounds can change depending on the situation of the player adding more realism and variety to the game experience. Just imagine a wind which starts to whistle giving a more eery experience to the player, all with just one single parameter changed.
